Launch of our art wall at our new home in Heslington Hall

Posted on 19 December 2025

The art wall brings together our past with our present & includes historic views of York and King’s Manor, a gorgeous print of the 18th c New Walk in York, and an 1833 portrait of Yarburgh, which we brought from the Huntingdon Room at King’s Manor to Heslington Hall, where Yarburgh lived.

We launched our Eighteenth Century (a very long one) art wall at our new home in Heslington Hall, with help from the University of York’s art curator Helena Cox.

York’s VC Charlie Jeffery joined us to toast our wall and cut a festive red ribbon.
