Biography

I am a PhD student affiliated with the Macroeconomics/Finance research cluster, under the supervision of Professor Neil Rankin. My research focuses on monetary economics, particularly on price stickiness and the transmission mechanism of monetary policy in developing economies.

Before joining the University of York, I worked for the World Bank and International Food Policy Research Institute in Bangladesh and Rwanda. I hold a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from North South University, Bangladesh.
