Biography

Toshiaki is a PhD student at the Department of Economics and Related Studies, supervised by Andrew Jones and Nigel Rice. His research interests lie in applied microeconometrics and health economics. Currently his research is focused on health inequality in emerging countries.

Toshiaki obtained his Msc in Economics at University of Edinburgh (Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics), MPP (Master in Public Policy) at University of Tokyo, and BA in Business and Commerce at Keio University. Before joining the University of York, Toshiaki worked for the Asian Development Bank Institute as a research associate.
