Distinguished Visitor Lecture with Ronnie Hsia, Edwin Erle Sparks Professor of History (Penn State).

Professor Hsia will explore perils at sea, and how and why seafarers prayed to two female figures who represented saviours in the oceans of the early modern world.

This will be followed by a drinks reception in the foyer.
