Biography

• Member of the Departmental Management Team (DMT), working closely with the HoD and other senior members of the department to give strategic and operational support in coordinating and managing the activities of the department
• Overall management and leadership of the department's professional support team
• HR Management - liaising with HR Services on complex matters, oversight and coordination in the department of HR processes (e.g. contracting, recruitment, inductions, visas, visitors, PDR processes, sickness absence) 
• Finance management - oversight of the day to day finances in the department
• Planning - Providing input, advice and support with medium term planning and the department's finance and resource requirements 
• Grants - management and oversight of CRD's professional support team activities that underpin pre and post-award support of the full grant life cycle 
• Overseeing the general finance and central administration support to the department
• Coordination and oversight of building and safety issues; space and facilities requirements; Health and Safety; Fire Safety; First Aid; adhering to UoY guidance, policies and regulations
