Research Fellow vacancy - Youth LIVES project

Posted on 3 December 2021

We are looking for an enthusiastic early career researcher to join our team to work on the UKRI Youth LIVES (LIVed experience in Evidence Synthesis) programme. This is a split role between CRD and Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) at York, to enable the appointee to benefit from working with both health research experts and citizen science experts.

Youth LIVES is a Citizen Science Collaboration award that will adopt participatory methods to co-design novel research with young people aged 14-21. This is an excellent opportunity for a researcher interested in co-production, co-design or citizen science to gain experience in participatory research in the high-profile area of youth mental health.

The main responsibilities of the role include: co-ordinating activity across the Youth LIVES programme (of up to six project teams of youth citizen scientists and professional researchers), supporting the youth citizen scientists to develop their skills and knowledge of mental health research, and contributing to evaluation and reporting of the participatory methods employed. The appointee will provide ongoing support for the youth citizen scientists across the programme, maintain relationships with our external partners, and monitor progress of the projects.
