Overview

I work on an industry-led project (Johnson Matthey) developing photoactivated catalysts for hydrosilylation. Current platinum-based catalysts used in industry have issues such as toxicity, difficult synthetic routes and poor solubility in siloxane substrates. My work is focused on resolving these issues and developing new photoactivated catalyst systems through mechanism-led design and kinetic studies.
