Research

Overview

My current research is on using the fluorescence properties of some of the substrates that can be polarised by the SABRE process in order to create a nuclear-spin polarised scintillation detector. This will have benefits over current polarised detectors as it will increase the beam luminosities in which polarised targets can be operated due to the ability to replenish the polarisation of the detector.

The aims of this project are to develop and scale this technology in order to make measurements of spin-spin interactions, and investigate the use of this technology for neutrino detection.
