Biography

Lianna Merner is the Research Director for the Beyond Compliance Consortium, a research programme based at the Centre for Applied Human Rights, where she leads on programme and operational management. She has experience managing international research projects including most recently management of a collaborative research network on displacement and rights in North Africa. She has previously worked at several human rights NGOs, including Human Rights Watch and PEN International. She has an MA in Human Rights from the University of Sussex.
