Emma Piercy is the project co-ordinator for the law of asylum in the Middle East and Asia project. The project will evaluate the experiences of refugees, lawyers and legal aid organisations, working with four leading providers of legal aid to refugees in Egypt, India, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
Emma has a BA in Politics and is currently studying Education and International Development at the Institute of Education at UCL. Emma was previously programme administrator for the MSc in International Humanitarian Affairs at the Post-war Reconstruction and Development Unit whilst conducting research in post-conflict education in Myanmar. She has worked on projects with Warwick University on the struggle for independence in West Papua.
