CAHR LLM student to join the International Study Center

Lineo Tsikoane from Lesotho will join the competitive ISC 2013 summer programme taking place in New York and Massachusets.

Lineo Tsikoane is a Chevening scholar currently completing an LLM in International Human Rights Law and Practice at the Centre for Applied Human Rights. She has been selected to join the International Study Center in the US in the summer 2013.

The International Study Center is an initiative of the University of York through the study abroad office. The ISC 2013 will consist of a programme of fun activities, cultural experiences of New York, and an intensive cross discipline of academic proramme in leadership and social change based at the Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. Participants will have an opportunity to work with local community based organizations in an effort to put into practice the theories they will have learned. The programme aims to provide a rewarding international experience while improving the student’s employability, leadership and advocacy skills.

The International Studies Center will run from the 20 th June to the 7th July 2013 when the participants shall be coming back to the UK.
