Government and Civil Society Cooperation to Protect Refugee Rights and Development, Seoul.

Martin Jones and Alice Nah will be speaking at an international conference on refugee rights organised by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea, Human Asia, and the Korea University Graduate School of International Studies.

This conference, held in Seoul on 21 August, brings government policy makers, scholars and practitioners together to examine how global cooperation can strengthen refugee protection. Particular emphasis will be given to the implementation of the obligations of the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees through domestic legislation and processes.

This conference is organised in light of the passing of the Refugee Act in the Korean National Assembly in December 2011.
