- Gels contaminated with residual nucleic acid stains can be disposed of via the ‘tiger’ bag disposal route along with other ‘non-hazardous identifiable lab waste
- Gels should be wrapped in tissue before disposal to absorb any residual liquid
- The waste containers must be taken to Biology Stores
