Non- Harmful UV radiation sources

In contrast, there are some sources of UV radiation that are not powerful enough to harm the eyes and skin unless incorrectly use  and are, therefore, considered safe.

Typical examples of uncontrolled UV sources include:

  • Overhead fluorescent lighting
  • Computer display equipment
  • Photocopiers
  • Desktop projectors
  • Vehicle headlights

There are no specific safety protocols for these UV applications, but you should use your common sense when handling them.
