Common safety, common sense

To avoid injury when handling uncontrolled UV sources, you should avoid looking directly into the source. If there are any covers or filters on the equipment, it is important that you leave them intact. You should not do anything to intensify the light beams as sources can also become unsafe if the intensity of the UV they emit is altered.

When replacing UV lamps/tubes it is important to check that your replacement is the same classification as the original.

Although there is a low UV risk, be aware that high-intensity light can cause temporary blindness if stared into.
