Noise
Unmanaged, noise can lead to long term, life changing hearing problems for individuals concerned. Departmental activities requiring careful management of noise levels is largely limited to the use of noisy equipment in the Mechanical Workshop.
Good management requires:
- Assessment of noise levels from equipment
- Application of effective control measures to reduce noise exposure levels of workers to safe levels
