Contact lens wearers

Contact lens wearers can wear them in the lab. provided eye protection is worn when considered necessary i.e. where a splash risk injury is identified.  Whilst it is thought that a chemical splash may present a greater risk to contact lens wearers (e.g. exposure time to a chemical could be increased), the opposite can also be true (lenses could prevent some substances from reaching the eye)- both situations have been documented.
