Biography

Jamie is a Systems Officer at the ADS, where he assists in maintaining and optimising digital infrastructure, with a focus on virtual machine and database systems. Working alongside the Applications Developers and the ADS Systems Manager, he helps install, configure, and monitor key systems to ensure stability and performance. His role also involves scripting and automation using modern programming languages such as Python. Jamie originally joined ADS as a Digital Archive Assistant in 2024 after earning a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Digital Archaeology at the University of York. Outside of work, he enjoys playing music and climbing.
