Biography

Anett joined the Archaeology Data Service (ADS) in February 2025, having previously supported administrative operations at the Stockholm Environment Institute. She now works as Project Administrator, supporting the effective delivery of ADS and HSDS services through operational coordination, project support, and service management.

In her role, Anett is responsible for coordinating invoicing processes alongside Jen Weldon and Lydia Mayfield, supporting office management, health and safety, EDI and managing multiple service helpdesks (including OASIS), and delivering events. She also works closely with colleagues across operations and senior management to ensure smooth day-to-day delivery of internal projects.

Since moving to the UK in 2013, Anett has developed broad administrative and organisational expertise while maintaining a strong connection to the heritage sector. She holds a Certificate of Higher Education in Archaeology from the University of York and a degree in Tourism Management with a focus on Cultural Heritage. Her professional experience includes roles at the Royal Palace of GödöllÅ‘ in Hungary and within the visitor experience team at York Minster.

Contributing her time to projects like the Lindisfarne and Lincoln Bypass Projects, and her studies in Archaeology at the University of York have deepened her commitment to heritage preservation. Anett strongly believes that history shapes our understanding of the present and that a passion for the past can inspire better stewardship of cultural and natural heritage. Through her work she is committed to supporting sustainable and accessible digital archiving by chairing the internal Climate Working Group.
