Biography

Andy grew up in Ottawa, Canada, and completed his BA in Archaeology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Throughout his undergrad, he worked in a number of archaeology and biochemistry labs and loved these environments. After graduating in 2021, he then moved to the UK to complete an MSc in Bioarchaeology from York, during which his dissertation focused on palaeoproteomic extraction methods. He have been in his current role since April 2023 and now works mainly on organic residue analysis. Outside the lab, he’s a huge fan of horror novels, crocheting, and baking!
