Before setting a vacancy up on eRecruiter you should have discussed and agreed the recruitment with:

  • your Head of Department
  • your department's accountant and/or your Research Grant Coordinator

Written approval will be requested from these staff the day after you create your vacancy. Once all approvals have been received, HR will make your job advert live.

It is your responsibility to get written approval from your authorisers. To help you:

  • we provide visibility of your request's progress in our Help Centre
  • you'll get email notifications when approvals and other updates are made
  • automatic reminders for outstanding approvals will be sent after two, three, four and five weeks
