A minimum increase of 3% for staff in grades 1-8

The outcomes of the 2022 pay negotiations have been confirmed and will be paid in August payroll. This year's increases will provide UoY staff on grades 1 - 8 with a minimum salary uplift of 3%. Colleagues on spine points 9 - 19 will benefit from an uplift of between 6.2% and 3.1%.

Pay Negotiations

The Universities and Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) conducts collective pay negotiations with Trade Unions on behalf of numerous HE institutions including the University of York.

The negotiations on the 2022 pay increase ended without an agreement with the Trade Unions.

We have been instructed by UCEA to implement the pay increase with effect from 1 August 2022.
