Returning to work

Employees are not required to provide a fit note to confirm they are well enough to return to work, unless their previous note specifically states so.

If an individual feels well enough to return before their fit note ends, a manager can agree to the employee returning to work earlier. If you have any concerns regarding an employee's fitness to return to work, you can seek guidance or request an assessment from Occupational Health.

A fit note may recommend a phased return to work, with reduced hours or amended duties for a temporary period. If you have concerns regarding accommodating these recommendations, please seek support from HR Operations.
