The Ron Cooke Hub is in the Heslington East area of the University of York campus.

The Hub is easily accessible by public transport (a taxi pick-up point and the bus stop are both located next to the building).

Directions from the A64

Follow the outer ring road (A64 on the south and east sides of the city, A1237 around the north and west) to the junction with the Hull/Bridlington roads (A1079/A166). Turn off at the exit marked University and follow the signs towards the city centre, past Grimston Bar. Take a left turn at the roundabout marked 'University' and at the next roundabout take the first left turn onto Heslington East.

Directions from Heslington West

Follow University Road towards Heslington Hall. Turn left onto Field Lane and follow the road past St Paul's Church, going straight ahead at the traffic lights. Turn right at the next roundabout on Field Lane onto Heslington East.

SatNavs

As the Heslington East campus has only recently been completed the building addresses may not show up on SatNavs. If you use the postcode YO10 5JL you will be directed to Field Lane, the campus is easily navigable from this road.

Parking

Parking on Heslington East is provided at Field Lane car park. Access to the park is controlled by barriers and is run on a ticketing system to gain entry and exit the car park.

Short stay parking of up to 45 minutes is free. Parking is also free from 1800 until 0800 and at weekends. Longer stays are charged £1 for every hour.

The pay & display machines do not accept notes or credit/debit cards.

Buses

Visitors to Heslington East should board the number 44 Unibus at the railway station, which travels to Heslington East via University Road. The Unibus runs approximately every 15 minutes on Monday to Saturday. The purple Number 4 FTR buses also make the trip between the city centre and the campus.

The Unibus and the Number 4 FTR bus provides a free shuttle service from any bus stop on University Road to Heslington East.

On foot

Heslington East is half a mile (800m) from Heslington Hall along the shared walking/cycle route to Field Lane.
