Profile

Biography

Jenny is a research fellow with a strong interest in developing and accessing behavioural interventions and digital tools aiming to improve mental health and wellbeing. Jenny is particularly interested in mixed-method surveys, randomised-controlled trials and high impact studies. She specialises in qualitative research and clinical trial management.

Upon graduating with an MSc in Health Psychology (2014), Jenny worked as a research assistant at the Health Experiences Research Group, University of Oxford, contributing to the team’s award-winning website healthtalk.org. She continued to work at the University for five years, where she held the positions of research assistant, research facilitator and clinical trial manager.

Jenny’s most recent contribution at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford, was in the development of an online cultural resource aiming to improve young people’s mental health (O-ACE project). The study was the precursor to the currently running large-scale ORIGIN study, focusing on underrepresented youth, led by Dr Rebecca Sheriff.

Before joining the Mental Health and Addiction research group at the University of York, Jenny was a research fellow on a mixed-methods study, called FACTS, investigating workplace wellbeing at CTUs and led by Dr Sophie Hall. Jenny won a small grant for a series of workshops focusing on future FACTS development work. To continue working on the development of this high-impact project, she retains an Associate position with the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit, University of Nottingham.
