Primary Care Mental Health Conference

The Primary Care Mental Health Conference for 2011 will, as in previous years, continue to explore issues surrounding mental health in its broadest sense with reference to primary care. The theme for this year is co-morbidity.

The conference is organised jointly by the Hull York Medical School and the Department of Health Sciences, University of York, and will be held at the historic King’s Manor, a series of grade I listed building inside York’s famous city walls.

We have a mix of invited plenary lectures and academic papers.

The keynote speakers for this year are:

  • Professor Tony Kendrick, Dean of Hull York Medical School, who will speak on the forthcoming NICE guideline on common mental disorders
  • Dr David Kessler, University of Bristol, who will talk about anxiety disorders in Primary care
