Our Arts and Humanities subjects are ranked 25th in the world

The 2015-16 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings confirm our place as a world leader for arts and humanities subjects. The rankings assess world-class universities across teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

Following the release of the rankings Professor Mark Ormrod, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, said: "The THE ranking is fitting recognition of York’s outstanding achievement in producing world-leading Arts and Humanities research. It is testimony to the brilliance, enthusiasm and dedication of researchers across York's rich range of departments and interdisciplinary centres."
