Make time to talk

Posted on 26 January 2024

Thursday 1 February is Time to Talk Day, a day when everyone is encouraged to talk about how they are.

The more conversations we have, the more myths we can bust and barriers we can break down, helping to end the stigma that many people can feel about mental health issues and creating an open and supportive community.

It can be as simple as a quick “how are you?” via text or in person, perhaps to someone you haven’t been in touch with recently - the smallest conversation has the power to make a big difference.

Who can I talk to?

If you are finding things difficult, it is important to know that you do not have to struggle alone. We can help you find support. From college support contacts, departmental student wellbeing officers to our Sexual Violence Liaison Officers or Open Door, there are lots of people here and ready to listen.
