1. Moving out soon?

If you’re moving out of your accommodation soon, you’ll want to avoid any unnecessary charges. If you’re on campus, see what you need to do in our handy guide on moving out of your room. If you’re in private accommodation, we have information on ending your tenancy and moving out, including advice on your deposit.

Wherever you live, please dispose of your rubbish responsibly. The City of York Council has information on how to deal with extra waste over the end of term clear out. Don’t forget there are British Heart Foundation collection boxes on campus for items still in good condition. If you’re leaving your bike on campus over the summer, you’ll need to make sure we know about it.

2. Blackbullion can help

Our financial education platform, Blackbullion, isn’t just about budgeting advice - though there are great tools for that! - it can also help with all those financial queries you don’t know where to start with. As we head into the summer when many students find work, learn more about tax. You can also discover how your credit score works or even pensions and investing. Sign up for Blackbullion for free with your York email address.

3. Win £250 with our Active Lives survey

Complete our 2023 Active Lives survey and you could be in with a chance of winning £250. You don’t have to be a sportsperson or active gym goer to complete the survey and it will help us provide the best opportunities for our community through sport and active wellbeing.
