1. Spring vacation - what’s on, what’s open

Find out what’s on and what’s open on campus during the spring vacation, including Library services, academic skills support, student support, food outlets and events and activities.

2. Don’t get locked out of your email account

You must set up two-factor authentication on your University email account by Tuesday 22 March, otherwise you will be locked out of your account and will be unable to access your email. Even if you’ve already set up Duo two-factor authentication (for e:Vision, the VPN, Virtual Desktop), you still need to set up Google two-factor authentication separately. Find out how to set up 2FA on your email account.

3. Student misconduct: have your say

Regulation 7, the procedure under which student misconduct is managed, is being revised and we would really value feedback from students and staff. We are particularly looking at areas of accessibility, academic misconduct, sexual misconduct, racial harassment, and online behaviours. We would particularly welcome responses from those belonging to underrepresented groups, who we recognise are often disproportionately impacted by some of these issues. Have your say on Regulation 7 (login required).

4. Could you help a new student settle in?

Our Second/Third Year Contacts (STYCs) and Second/Third Year Mentors (STYMs) help new students get the best start to university life and applications for 2022/23 College STYC and STYM teams are now open. In addition to enhancing your CV, being a STYC or STYM is a great way to get involved in college life, help others and meet new people. Apply to be a STYC or STYM.

5. Pushing through procrastination

Do you find yourself putting off that piece of work? Read our tips on beating procrastination and learn practical techniques at our Pushing through procrastination workshop on Thursday 17 March. It’s an informal, supportive session and you’ll find out about services and resources that you can access afterwards.
