Things to know this week - 6 November 2023: Win prizes with Unibattle

Posted on 6 November 2023

Welcome to your student news summary of key things happening this week.

UoY community update

Be a Good Neighbour: Do you park locally?
Recent issues with parking in our neighbouring area of Osbaldwick have resulted in a number of complaints from local residents and Councillors. We're asking all members of the University community to please consider before you park if you could be causing congestion or inconvenience to members of our local community.

If in doubt, ask yourself: would emergency vehicles struggle to pass me here? Could I be creating a safety risk for anyone wanting to cross the road?

Email from ZoomInfo
A small number of students may have recently received an email from an organisation called ‘ZoomInfo’ with the subject line ‘Notice of personal information processing’. These emails are the result of ZoomInfo collecting personal data from York users. You may wish to take some action if you have received one, or if you have recently installed ZoomInfo software. Read further information from the Cyber Security team.

Off-campus rent grant - do you qualify?
If you’re a continuing student living off campus, check whether you’re eligible for rent support with our Off-campus rent grant.
