Summer accommodation
Due to scheduled summer business activities, including conferences and essential maintenance, we are unable to offer extensions to current accommodation contracts. As such, students wishing to remain on campus over the summer period will be required to apply for a room in our designated summer accommodation.
Applications
Applications will open at 12.30pm on Monday 12 May 2025. Please visit this web page again on 12 May to access the booking link.
Summer accommodation will be located in Halifax College, in self-catered rooms with shared bathroom facilities. Rooms are priced at £23.59 per night, with a minimum stay of 7 nights.
We aim to support all students who apply. However, please note that room offers are subject to availability, and applications may be closed early depending on demand.
We expect to begin sending out room offers from 26 May 2025.
Start dates
Summer accommodation will be available from Friday 27 June 2025.
If your current campus accommodation contract ends on 22 June (38 & 40 week lets), you may need to remain in your existing room for a few days until our first summer accommodation blocks open. If your application is successful, your official move-in date will be confirmed in your room offer.
End dates
Students with a 2025/26 campus accommodation booking
You may remain in summer accommodation until the start of your 2025/26 campus contract (for most students, this will be 7 September 2025).
If your 2025/26 campus contract begins after 7 September, we will work with you on a case-by-case basis to arrange either a short extension in summer accommodation or an earlier move-in to your new room. Arrangements will depend on availability in the college or area to which you are moving.
Students without a 2025/26 campus accommodation booking
The latest date you can stay in summer accommodation is 31 August 2025. If your off-campus tenancy begins after this date, you will need to arrange temporary alternative accommodation in the private sector between 31 August and the start of your new tenancy.
