Lindiwe joined the Sociology Department in 2024 to pursue her PhD under the supervision of Dr Patricia Hamilton and Dr Sian Beynon - Jones. Her research explores experiences of black transgender women with motherhood in South Africa. Before joining the university, Lindiwe worked in international development, coordinating and managing programs aimed at eliminating HIV/AIDS in Southern Africa.
