I graduated from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a BA in sociology in 2002. I moved to Ain Shams University, Egypt- Cairo, where I received my MA in sociology in 2006. The title of my thesis was “‘Culture of globalization and its impact on emotional divorce (A comparison study between Saudi Arabia and Egypt)’.

I was awarded a scholarship from King Abdulaziz University to pursue further studies. Currently, I am working on my PhD, which will focus on studying the impacts of social media on contemporary Saudi women.
