What my course is like
My course taught me a lot more practical skills regarding film, as apposed to the theoretical stuff I had learnt at Undergraduate. While there was still an academic element to it, I felt this gave me more transferable skills into the world of film production, as well as giving me enough time to decide what I truly wanted to do as a career.
How I have funded my studies
I was fortunate enough to receive a full grant for my tuition so they are most definitely worth applying for!
My advice to students considering further study
Given how many people are now going on to postgraduate study in order to have the competitive edge in the job market, make sure you are studying something both enjoyable and useful for your future. Given the amount of time and extra money you will be putting into it, consider it an investment into your future - but also bare in mind that it can be completely different to your undergraduate and can be taken years after your Bachelors.
