A day in the life of a Business Solutions Analyst in the United Kingdom

The recruitment process

The recruitment process required me to submit a CV and this was followed up with an assessment centre at the company office involving a range of team-based and individual tests.

My advice to students considering work

The most important thing for the technology sector is to be interested in the sector. Not having a technical degree (like myself) is not a great problem for many roles.

My advice about working in my industry

The most important thing for the technology sector is to be interested in the sector, not having a technical degree (like myself) is not a great problem for many roles.

What I do

I work for a technology and services company that provides managed revenue and customer management solutions. My role involves gathering requirements from project stakeholders in order to find out the requirements of a project followed by the documenting of technical specifics of a solution to the problems faced in the project.

What I like most

I particularly enjoy the challenge of working with both business focused clients and technical focused developers on devising solutions to problems faced in projects.
