How studying in the UK affected my job seeking

How I searched for jobs:
I started looking for a job after I went back to China in October 2010. A few websites were helpful, such as www.51job.com, www.chinahr.com and www.zhaopin.com There is a lot of informations about jobs for graduates.

Challenges in looking for jobs:
Some would think the overseas graduates require a higher salary, that was the main disadvantage. Still there were organizations which were satisfied with us due to the better English skills and higher ability.

The recruitment process

I applied online and the organization invited me to attend an exam.
After I passed the exam, then came the first interview a few days later. Then the second, third and last face-to-face interviews.

Where I hope to be in 5 years

I would like to become a leader of the branch and work on improvements.

My advice to students considering work

Your beginning salary is not that important - you will shine everywhere.

What I do

I am a common employee in a bank where I am doing deposits and loans, and seeking more potential customers.

Skills I use and how I developed them

The degree obtained from York and the level of it was important in me getting this position.

What I like most

I like that fact that it is a stable job for a woman.
