What do you do?

Write fiction and film scripts

Discovery of crucial archival sources to tell important stories couched in and reflecting the Mexican Revolution.

What’s your work environment and culture like?

Isolated

What extracurricular activities did you undertake at university and what transferable skills did you develop through these?

Story telling and academic skills developed after York as PhD student of Mexican history with no effective supervision —- latterly worked in University ( Cambridge, UC Davis, Essex, Manchester)

What would you like to do next with your career?

I am writing a thriller film script for a 6 episode TV series

What top tips do you have for York students preparing for today’s job market and life after graduation?

Take risks and keep faith in your project

I was shortlisted for Crime Writers Association Debut Dagger with The Wrong Domino and later edited version published as EBOLOWA
