What do you do?

Commercial Payments & Processing SME consulting tier 1 issuers and processors

Reflecting upon your past employment and education, what led you to your current career choice?

Working with people and helping solve complex problems

Is your current job sector different from what you thought you would enter when you graduated?

Yes - I joined the British Army for 7 years and then moved into Financial Services Consulting. I continue to serve as a British Army Reserve Officer.

Describe your most memorable day at work

Go-live day on a large long term technology project - The culmination of helping an organization make a giant technology leap forward was fantastic.

Are there any challenges associated with your job?

Consulting can have long hours and clients who are demanding.

What’s your work environment and culture like?

Mastercard work environment is great. I really enjoy working with my colleagues

What extracurricular activities did you undertake at university and what transferable skills did you develop through these?

UOTC - University Officer Training Corps - Leadership & public speaking
Boxing - Confidence to face up to challenges

What would you like to do next with your career?

Continue to develop an SME lane and lead the consulting practice
