Abstract:
Can we be harmed when we do not exist? This question is central to certain philosophical concerns about the badness of death for the one who dies, and, more generally, about the possibility of posthumous harms. In this paper, I examine whether rival accounts of the metaphysics of time have consequences for these issues.
