Further details:

A joint event will be held on Monday 10 June between the departments of Mathematics, Philosophy and Physics. It will be from 9:30 to 12:30 in D/L/116, with two hour-long sessions of 10-15 minute talks by colleagues, a long coffee break in the middle, and a sandwich lunch afterwards in D/L/102.

The aim is just to exchange thoughts and ideas in areas of mutual interest and see what comes of it. Confirmed speakers include Mike Beaney, Paul Busch, Chris Fewster, Bernard Kay, Mary Leng, Niall MacKay, Tom Stoneham, and Tony Sudbery, but we still have spaces and anyone who'd like to say something -- profound or flippant, provocative or contemplative -- is most welcome.

Please let Niall MacKay (niall.mackay@york.ac.uk) know if you'd like to attend (so we can order the right quantity of refreshments and lunch), and also if you'd like to speak.

Location: University of York, Room D/L/116

Admission: Members of staff from the Departments of Philosophy, Mathematics and Physics are very welcome to attend.
