Dr Binns PhD DLitt FBA is an Honorary Fellow of the University of York. He is the author of Intellectual Culture in Elizabethan and Jacobean England (Leeds, 1990) and, with S E Banks, the editor of Gervase of Tilbury's Otia imperialia (Oxford, 2002) in the Oxford Medieval Texts Series, of which he is currently a General Edfitor.
