CMS Celebrates Prize Winners

Posted on 30 June 2020

Thursday 25 June saw the CMS awarding its annual prizes at a virtual Summer Party.

The prizes awarded annually, normally at the CMS Summer Party, were awarded via Zoom on Thursday 25 June.

The Garmonsway Prize, awarded to the MA student with the highest coursework average over the MA was awarded to James Sillitoe, a part-time MA student due to complete his studies this year.

The Olivia Toubkin Prize for the best essay on an Old Norse topic was awarded to Medieval Literatures and Languages MA Timothy Long, and the Ormrod PhD prize was awarded to Dr Alice Toso from the Department of Archaeology. You can read about Dr Toso's research (in her own words) on our blog, and you can find out more details about our virtual party (and the medieval limerick competition) there too.

Congratulations all on some excellent academic achievements.
