The History of Art Department is delighted to welcome Ugandan artist Pamela Enyonu as the current artist-in-residence for the Art Rights Truth Project, on which our colleague Dr. Ana Bilbao is co-investigator.

Pamela Enyonu

Pamela will be working in the open spaces of David Kato College, and you might see her around campus attending lectures, visiting the archives, or exploring the Uni of York Art Collection. She is a mixed-media and multidisciplinary artist who has exhibited in various group and solo exhibitions in Uganda, Congo, Israel, Mali, Tanzania, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, France, and Italy. Her work deals with identity, trauma, healing, and empowerment politics. To know more about her work and whereabouts these weeks, you can follow her on Instagram: @syokereart.
