Student reps

The Department of History of Art has a number of student representatives for the University of York Students' Union (YUSU) and Graduate Students' Association (GSA).

Role of student reps

Your student reps are here to help you with concerns you may have about your academic experience at York.

Course reps need to engage the rest of their students to ensure that their issues are being represented and are being resolved.

Committees

The representatives sit on departmental committees such as the Board of Studies and staff student liaison committees to ensure that your academic experience is tailored to you and is the best it can possibly be.

All undergraduate course reps also sit on the YUSU Academic Affairs Committee.

Priorities

Course representatives may concentrate on specific areas which they believe the department could concentrate on, like contact hours, workload, teaching quality, hidden course costs, supervision, assessment modes, feedback deadlines for the department and a plethora of other issues that affect students on the course.

If you would like to address any concerns about your course or other student issues, contact your course's student rep.
