Patient and Public Involvement (PPI)

Working in partnership with children, young people, parents and other family members

The Martin House Research Centre aims for its research to provide an evidence-base for practice, which improves the experiences, care and support for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families.

It is important that all the research the Centre does goes towards change and is not just research for research’s sake. To this end, we work in partnership with children, young people, parents, other family members, and relevant organisations throughout all aspects of the research process, so that their experiences of what went well can be shared, and what did not go so well can be changed. They feel that this improves the relevance, quality and impact of the research we do.
