Accommodation

York is a beautiful and historic city. We have negotiated an rate at the Principal Hotel in the centre of York. It is directly adjacent to the City Railway station and historic York City walls, and within a short walking distance of all the venues you will use over the duration of the meeting. To take advantage of the special rate, then please call the hotel on +0044 1904 653681 and request a reservation to be booked on to the University of York, Department of Health Sciences block under Block Code J13. To be able to take advantage of this special rate, you will need to book accommodation at least 8 weeks prior to the event.

As with previous meetings, we will not be able to arrange your accommodation for you. At the time of announcement, there are ample rooms to accommodate all consortium attendees, and it is a nice place to relax and socialise. We suggest you make this your default Hotel. You are most welcome to extend your stay at this special rate.

Getting to York

York is very well connected by train, and we recommend rail travel to York from London, Manchester, Edinburgh and further afield. If you are travelling from Europe, the US, or Australia then there are good rail connections from London or Manchester airports. Some may arrive at Leeds Braford Airport, and we recommend getting a taxi directly to the Hotel.
