Biography

Katie Crowther completed her PhD at the University of York in 2024. Her thesis, "Women's Paper Traces: Material Manuscripts, Print Culture, and the Eighteenth-Century Country House," was undertaken in collaboration with the National Trust. Katie has held a fellowship at the Huntington Library in California and has a forthcoming article published in the Women's History Review.

She is currently a research assistant on the Elizabeth Montagu Correspondence Online, and her wider interests include letter-writing and material culture in the long eighteenth century.
