Biography

Frances Long completed her PhD on the history of children's sleep in 2022, and then spent a year as a Humanities Research Centre Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of York. Her research focuses on the material culture of children's sleep, and how children's sleep and sleeplessness affected the experience of both adults and children in the long eighteenth century.

She is currently working on her first monography.
