Mehmet Akif Yardimci is a PhD Student in Economics at the Department of Economics and Related Studies, supervised by Dr. Andrew Pickering. He holds a BSc degree in Economics from Ankara University, an MSc degree in Economics from University of Essex (with distinction) and an MRes degree in Economics from Queen Mary University of London. Akif's main research interests are in the field of Political Economy and Applied Microeconometrics. His current works focus on conflict, elections, and voting behaviour.
